Viseth Kai shared Eskobar’s room, his drink, and by every indication his confidence – found across the table from him when the Agents finally broke down his door, dark-robed and dark-haired in a single long braid, a dagger and wand within easy reach. Where Eskobar handled the Cutters, the debt collecting, and the front-facing menace, Viseth was the one who actually made his drug operation work: a trained wizard doing the quiet, technical labour of hiding two thousand doses of Twitch and four hundred of Bumblebee somewhere a raid wouldn’t find them.

FILE NOTES

When the door finally came down, Eskobar didn’t reach for a weapon – he reached for Viseth, dragging her out the third-floor window as a hostage and a shield in the same motion. It should have killed them both. It didn’t, because Viseth had a feather fall spell readied and waiting the entire time, and used it the instant they cleared the sill. The two of them touched down in the street below and were gone before the Agents reached the window.

The stash went with them, eventually. Before the raid ever started, Viseth had already tucked the drugs, the cash, and one Cutter into a rope trick pocket space hanging just outside the building – invisible from inside the room, safe from any search of it. Section 18’s own after-action notes record the den itself coming up almost empty, and Captain Brin reporting, with some surprise, that the drug stash had turned up recovered again within days – officially credited to “one Cutter,” though the timing and the method both point back to Viseth.

Section 18’s case file also carries a set of interview notes, apparently prepared for a formal interrogation, describing her as strung out and evasive – sweating, bloodshot, “coming down from something,” insisting through a thick Cutters dialect that she was clean. Whether that interview happened before she and Eskobar slipped away, or whether it’s simply the plan for a session that the pair’s escape made moot, the file doesn’t resolve.

“I am feeling bare peak. Yeah, probably still a bit wavey. I ain’t no nitty though.”

STATUS: Filed under The Bad, alongside Eskobar rather than under him – whatever the two of them are still running, she is doing at least half the actual work. Not currently reflected on Eskobar’s own case file, a gap worth closing.
