“The shifty, ferret of a man isn’t pleasant to deal with, but his information is usually sound” is about as generous as anyone at Section 18 has ever been about him, and it’s held up. Jimmy runs a bazaar stall as his cover trade and his actual business both – paid outright for tips, watching the edges of every conversation for the exit even while he’s making one.

He has steered the Agents toward Eskobar’s name and his standing as a Chuza cutter distributor working for Khozchek, a Bumblebee lead on the dealer Feydahr at the Gauntlet Inn, and general word on the street when nobody else was talking – including an early, heated read on rising unrest between locals and NIL immigrants across the Section. He has also, on at least one occasion, taken a paid job digging up a lead on a source of Bumblebee off the back of a drowned boy’s recovered bauble, delivering results within the day he promised.

None of it comes free, and none of it comes with any loyalty attached beyond the coin changing hands – but so far, unlike more than one paid source Section 18 has burned through, his information has never once been wrong.
