The Port Inn is the Agents’ actual home for the whole campaign – seaside lodging a step up from the barracks, close enough to the Section House to matter and far enough to feel like somewhere else. The monthly upkeep buys a room, meals, and a standing invitation to breakfast whenever the host has something new to try out on a captive audience.
FILE NOTES
Running it is Pitr – warm, attentive, and considerably more relaxed behind his own bar than he is anywhere else the Agents have encountered him. Breakfast comes with a running commentary: a new sauce someone’s been experimenting with, a good year for the rooftop hives, a small offering of honeycomb pressed on whoever’s nearest. It is, by every account, a genuinely nice little family business – which sits uneasily next to everything else on file about the man running it.
The Agents have never pushed the point. Whatever the arrangement actually is, the inn itself has never given them a reason to.
