FIRST ON RECORD Session 1 – the Agents' very first assignment

Before there was a case file on anything else, there was Shirdrella. Brin’s first task for the newly-inaugurated Agents was simple on paper: apprehend a drug peddler operating out of Paraisopolis who had started pushing her territory into Chuza proper. It didn’t stay simple for long, and it hasn’t really stopped since.

Her method of choice is kindness, or a convincing imitation of it. She found a homeless, penniless young woman – Marella, freshly abandoned by a travelling Jongleur troupe – being attacked outside a Paraisopolis tavern, and “rescued” her: paid for a room, offered a job as a courier delivering packages around the city. Marella never learned what she was actually carrying. Shirdrella never told her.

STATUS: Filed under The Bad. The Agents’ oldest open case, and a working demonstration of how she operates – rescue as recruitment, and never a soul the wiser until it’s too late to matter.
