Manyard ran the Scrapshell as an ordinary curio shop for long enough that nobody thought twice about him – polite, unassuming, easy to trust behind a counter. Raven’s instincts said otherwise the moment she saw him wiping down a bloodied door handle like a man erasing evidence rather than cleaning up an accident.

Cornered, he calmly called off an unseen attacker – “Enough, Jaraba” – then slipped through a locked door before a blade could reach him, leaving Raven alone in the dark with a voice that answered from two directions at once.

FILE NOTES

He was run to ground in a basement workshop below the shop, still trying to save something from a locked chest rather than run, and died mid-sentence to Ash’s second shocking grasp – proud, delusional, and entirely unbothered by his own death.

“Run, Jaraba, my love! We made fantastic art together. My final piece, my magnum opus… it should certainly be called… Police brutality… it was a good naaammmmeee…”

Manyard, dying

What the Agents found in the studio beyond made the partnership plain: a stone-lidded well, three victims drained nearly to nothing, and canvases of disturbingly precise “feeding” scenes – some of them the same pug-nosed, cloak-wearing beasts already encountered on Pine Street and beneath a Borthanza temple thousands of miles away. Manyard’s own work, by every indication, documenting killings committed by something he called his love rather than his accomplice.

STATUS: Filed under The Bad. Deceased. Whatever he and Jaraba actually were to each other, his own dying words leave no real doubt he knew exactly what he was helping her do.
