The sessions tended to be quite short – typically 2 hours, probably 3 at the most.

BACKGROUND
The basic premise is that the PCs are Agents of a police force in the lovely, modern coastal town of Chuza. The sprawling metropolis has a reasonably high standard of living with ‘modern’ conveniences such as hot running water, lighting and inside toilets.

PLAYER CHARACTERS GENERATION
All started at 4th level with a few boundaries. Unfortunately, I never had a copy of the character sheets, so I can’t display them here.

RACE
Humans only. Perhaps a bit strict but the Chuzan population is mainly human. I was hoping it would highlight the ‘strangeness’ when encountering demi-humans. Take them out of their comfort zone. They don’t encounter a ‘real’ elf until around session 60 – for those who remember Unearthed Arcana, no, there are no female, Drow Elf, cavaliers in Chuza. Lack of dark vision, at least in the lower experience levels, would be a bit different from the norm. And maybe Agent Bowlahr would ask them to test a set of night vision goggles, somewhere down the line.

STARTING EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Level 4

ATTRIBUTES
Standard 25-point spend build with all abilities starting at 8. For example, a typical spread would be 15, 14, 13, 12, 10 and 8

MAGIC ITEMS
Attained a wealth of 3500gp. Minor category items are available

HIT POINTS
Rather than roll, the maximum is gained on the first level with 75% of the hit dice on each additional level

ALIGNMENT
Given the Agency’s ethos and responsibility in upholding the law, Lawful Neutral was a guideline but It was open to interpretation. Those of a Lawful Evil disposition would have a hard time integrating into a Section House.

RELIGION
The Agency is a mix of two religions:

1 – Heironeous
Good, Law, and War. His favoured weapon is the longsword.

2 – KemerLexi (a rebranding of St Cuthbert without the ‘clubbing’ of unbelievers)
Destruction, Law, Protection, and Strength. His favoured weapon is the mace

CLASSES
Typical vocations: Fighter, Paladin, Ranger (urban), Rogue or Wizard.
Unlikely but could be chosen: Monk or Sorceror.
Barbarians wouldn’t really fit

SKILLS
Required: Knowledge, Local.
To cover laws and the Section areas.

Required: Language, Common
For conversing and writing reports.

Optional: Language, low common
Street slang and patois
